Life in Perspective

If everyone had a Thanksgiving week like mine, I know you are feeling truly blessed. I was fortunate to be able to be around family (my side and Ricky's side) the entire week. Our son, Jack, came home from Auburn Monday afternoon. Our daughter, Brynn, arrived early Thursday morning with her husband, Jody, and their two children: Will-2 1/2 and Ella-10 mos. Jack's girlfriend, Terri Leigh, met us in Wedowee Saturday for the get together at my nephew's home with my brother and sisters and their families. The house was full. My parents have both gone on to be with Jesus as has Ricky's dad. Thursday was spent at Ricky's mom's home with his family. It was so wonderful to feel the love of family. Ricky and I were a little on the down side yesterday as Jack and Terri Leigh drove back to Auburn and Brynn and her family drove 14 hours to Maryland to go back home. As sad as it was to see them go, I'm thankful for the journey to this place in our lives. They are happy, prosperous and able to contribute to society. They both love the Lord; they are just as I prayed for them to be. I miss them terribly; I'm so proud of them, though. I'm thankful for the love of God in my life, my family, my friends, my home, my job and the ability to love others. Thank you God; you are truly amazing, awesome and your love and blessings are never ending. And, Nancy, if you are reading this, I love you. You are one of my most treasured blessings. I never imagined you as a friend when we first met. God allowed our paths to inter-twine so therefore, our friendship is His gift to us. I love you!!
